Professor Xu Zhongping is currently the Deputy President of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was born in Ganzhou, Jiangxi Province in March 1964. He received his bachelor degree from the Department of Applied Mathematics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in July 1985 and his master’s degree in Systems Engineering from the College of Economics & Management at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in January 1990. He was a visiting scholar in the Center for International Education and Research in Accounting (CIERA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign from January to December 2000.
He has successively worked as the Dean of the Department of Management, Director of the Finance Office at Administrators Education Institute of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Director of the Finance Office, General Accountant and Assistant to the President at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He has been engaged in teaching and research in Management Accounting and Financial Accounting. He won the Outstanding Individual Award in the Asset Check in Nationwide Institutions 2017 and the Great Achievements Award in CAS Asset Management Reform 2017.
