Prof. Dong Jichang, Vice President of University of Chinese Academy of Sciences (UCAS), was born in Guan, Shandong in July 1974.
Prof. Dong received his Ph.D. degree in 2003 from the Academy of Mathematics and System Science, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He was promoted to associate professor and full professor in 2005 and 2010 respectively. From 2012 to 2019, he served as the vice dean of the school of economics and management, the dean of the school of innovation and entrepreneurship, and the assistant president of UCAS. He has been Vice President of UCAS since December 2019.
Prof. Dong’s research interests include real estate economics and finance, public-private partnership and macroeconomic policy. His studies were supported by the National Science Fund of China, the National Social Science Fund of China, Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Housing and Urban-rural Development, and National Development and Reform Commission. He has received a number of honors including China Youth Science and Technology Award, Outstanding Member of Youth Innovation Promotion Association of CAS. He has served as a member of the Disciplinary Appraisal Group of the Academic Degree Committee of the State Council in Management Science since 2015. He has successively selected as the Vice President of the Chinese Association of Quantitative Economics since 2012.
