Course code:
Target students: Undergraduates majoring in resources and environmental science
Period: 40 hours
Course credit: 2
Courses attributes: Major Elective Course
Leading teachers: Zhang Yang
Teaching objectives: With the increase of environmental problems and the rapid growth of new pollutants, it is an argent need to establish long-term effective monitoring technology to solve the environmental pollution problems. The course is one of the major elective courses in Environmental Science undergraduate education. The course will discuss the theory and method in environmental monitoring. We will highlight the basic concept and mechanism, and introduce the latest progress about the instruments for environmental monitoring. The course seeks to make the students have a deep understanding of technologies for environmental monitoring. The purpose is improving their ability to observe, analyze and solve environmental problems under complex conditions.
