Dear International Students,

Greetings from Beijing to all of you in China and abroad! We hope this letter finds you and your loved ones in good health.

Although the tumultuous year of 2020 is over and winter vacation for the 2020-2021 Academic Year is just around the corner, the COVID-19 pandemic is surging around the world, with confirmed cases sporadically emerging in China. Accordingly, we would like to share the following information regarding the winter vacation and the spring semester:

1. Please take measures to protect yourself, reduce personnel flow and gatherings, and comply with the requirements outlined by local authorities and host institutes regarding COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control (click here).

2. Please stay in contact with your supervisors and host institutes during the winter vacation, and follow the registration procedures for the commencement of the 2021 Spring Semester in accordance with the requirements of your host institutes.

3. Please refer to the attached document on the Regulations for Scholarship Issuance during the COVID-19 Pandemic (click here). If updated, you will be informed without delay.

4. We will inform you when the student visa is available for collection at Chinese Embassies in your home countries.

COVID-19 is a common disease for all humankind. Let’s continue to safeguard against the virus, and have faith that the pandemic will eventually be behind us. We are confident that with solidarity and resilience you will be able to overcome current difficulties and continue your postgraduate studies.
